    Open

    Launch PowerShell

    Open Start, search for PowerShell, and launch it. A normal window is all you need—no administrator access required.

    Paste the command

    Copy the command below, paste it into PowerShell, and press Enter.

    Your key is ready

    If Windows has an OEM key stored in its firmware, it appears in the window and is copied to your clipboard.

Good to know: Some PCs use a digital, retail, or organization-managed license instead of an embedded OEM key. In that case, the command will simply return a blank result.
